Farmer Jason Biography
Jason Ringenberg was raised on a hog farm in Illinois that bordered the Rock Island Line railroad. He moved to Nashville in 1981 and formed Jason and the Scorchers who almost singlehandedly created alt country. They won a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Americana Music Association in 2008.
Ringenberg created the Farmer Jason character in 2003. He has won numerous awards for his highly interactive cds and live concerts, including 2 Emmy nominations, 1 Emmy win, a Parents Choice award, and LA Times Best Record of the Yea listr twice.
