Chicago-based artist Jontan blends Bossa Nova, Beatlesque pop, and classic soul into tunes that are playful, yet wise beyond their years.
His home-recorded 2023 debut The Orange Book garnered attention from local media for its clever songs in English and Portuguese, supported by energetic shows at Chicago’s Empty Bottle and Schubas. Aside from songwriting, he teaches music, writes string arrangements, and works in audio engineering.
