1000 Watt Prophets

The members of 1000 Watt Prophets are true Michigan boys—the kind of guys you call to help you fix a blown tire at 2 a.m. They'll fix that tire, all the while regaling you with a story about the time one of them was on tour in January and had to hole up inside Jack White's house to escape a blizzard. They're the same guys who have been called upon to anchor some of the most well-known bands on the Michigan festival scene.

Zak Bunce (vocals/guitar) brings the soul of bluegrass, Americana, and roots rock; Denny Richards (bass/vocals) provides the rock-solid foundation of Motown, Stax, and blues; Sean Reisig (drums/vocals) brings the energy and drive of funk and punk. It's the Power of 3: the Earth, Moon, and Sun; Mind, Body, and Heart; Guitar, Bass, and Drums - a Power Trinity bringing their musical message to the people.

The band specializes in throwing down new takes on old sounds, blending Soul, Americana, Blues, R&B, Rock, Jazz, and Gospel feels into their original compositions as well as interpreting a fun selection of deep cut covers.
