Micah Edwards Biography
Micah Edwards emerges as a luminary in the contemporary music scene, blending soulful melodies with profound lyricism garnished with a buttery twang. On his much anticipated new project, he drives a stake in the ground solidifying himself squarely as: Mr. Texas Soul.
Having already reached 1M monthly Spotify listeners on his previous release, Edwards’ magnetic stage presence and undeniable talent helped him garner cross-generational and cross-cultural audiences via Tiny Desk Contest’s Top Shelf, Tiny Desk Concert On The Road Tour, and support slots with Mac Ayres, Kam Franklin, Madeline Edwards, David Michael Wyatt, and Little Moon.
Edwards credits his rolodex of retro influences of 40s ranchera, 50s rockabilly, 60s R&B, 70s rock, and 80s/90s country with inspiring his sound. It’s nostalgic music for a modern listener. “Been working on the sound for over a year now, and I’m really excited for the world to hear what we’ve cooked up,” says Edwards.
His upcoming project entitled “Texas Soul” is a love-letter from Edwards to the unsung communities in Texas… the most beautiful people in the most beautiful towns which make up the spirit of his beloved home. Inspired by them, his sophomore full-length record promises to be the soul-stirring soundtrack to your life, leaving an indelible mark on hearts around the world.
