Ray Cooper presents songs from his latest album ‘Even For A Shadow’ together with favourites from his previous four solo albums.
Ray Cooper, a.k.a. Chopper, is a story based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist living in Sweden. Previously with Oysterband, Ray has released 5 solo albums and completed over 40 solo international tours.
On stage Ray sings and plays cello, guitar, mandolin, piano and harmonica. Ray's music straddles folk, americana, world, rock and the singer-songwriter tradition, drawing on his wide experience in all these areas, from playing ceilidh music or rocking out on festival stages with Oysterband, to playing Swedish folk music in the local Sörmland tradition where he lives.
Ray's latest album 'Even For A Shadow', released in 2024, was nominated for album of the year for the German music critics prize. 'Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik'.

Ray Cooper Biography
Ray Cooper is a British singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Sweden. For over 20 years Cooper played with Oysterband before going solo in 2013 and has since released five solo albums: Tales Of Love War & Death By Hanging (2010); Palace Of Tears (2014); Between The Golden Age & The Promised Land (2018); Land Of Heroes (2021) and Even For A Shadow (2024).
He has toured in Germany, Denmark, the UK, Scandinavia and Canada. Ray lives in a small village in Sweden, close to the forest. His albums have been recorded in an old log cabin, with overdubs and mixing in England and Germany. Ray sings and plays guitar, cello, piano, harmonium, harmonicas, mandolin, kantele, xiao and pe.rcussion. His albums also feature guest musicians and singers
