Thenisai Thendral Deva

Devanesan Chokkalingam, better known by his stage name Deva, is a renowned Indian film composer and singer primarily celebrated for his work in Tamil cinema. His music is characterized by its energetic rhythms, catchy tunes, and a unique blend of traditional and modern elements.

Born on November 20, 1950, in Tamil Nadu, India, Deva's passion for music was evident from a young age. He received formal training in classical music and later pursued Western music at Trinity College of Music in London.

Deva's career in the film industry took off in the 1980s, and he quickly established himself as a leading music director. His ability to connect with the masses through his music earned him the title "King of Mass Music." Some of his most iconic works include films like Vaigasi Poranthachu, Samundi, Aasai, Kushi, Raja Narasimha, Naaga, and Phantom.
