Black Bear Kiss Biography
Formed in 2016, Black Bear Kiss and their own brand of upbeat, riffy-rock inspired songs can be heard at events across the UK. With appreciative nods to the likes of Foals, Royal Blood, Foo Fighters, Nirvana, RHCP, and Queens of the Stone Age, the band have honed their art, and released their debut album "Black Bear Kiss' in 2023.
The band pride themselves on high energy performances, leaving nothing on stage and live shows are where Black Bear Kiss are in their element.
They say adversity makes you stronger….with Black Bear Kiss over the last few years, the band have overcome serious challenges, but still form a tight knit group. From band members having serious operations mid-tour, to the tragic and sudden passing of guitarist and chief songwriter Rob Jones in 2021, the group have an unshakable bond and are more determined than ever to showcase their abilities.
Notable shows for the band include the Peaky Blinders festival (alongside Liam Gallagher and Primal Scream), Oktoberfest, Shropshire Music Awards and closing out one of the stages at Farmer Phil's Festival. Black Bear Kiss receive good air play on BBC Introducing and podcasts such as the Salopian Mixtape. They are are also a regular on the Wolves playlist with 'Hooks' often heard around Molineux Stadium!
