De ultieme symfonie van vrede en vrijheid: de Negende van Beethoven.
Beethoven was een rebel & rockstar in zijn tijd: artistiek onafhankelijk zocht hij de grenzen van muziek op en zette publiek en muzikanten graag op het verkeerde been. De negende symfonie was vernieuwend door een koor te integreren in de muziek, dat was pas echt gedurfd!
Zelf ook niet vies van een flinke dosis eigenzinnigheid, maakten de Blazers een geheel eigen en unieke blazersversie van de beroemde 9e. Met een koor met zangers uit alle werelddelen en solisten en instrumentatie van heinde en verre, klinken Beethovens dramatische en universele noten pas echt broederlijk, verbindend en als noten van ons allemaal.
De muziek is zo meeslepend en uitnodigend dat het moeilijk zal zijn om niet uit volle borst mee te zingen met de beroemde ‘Ode an die Freude’. De krachtige boodschap van eenheid en broederschap zal luid klinken en nog lang resoneren na een avond vol emotie en verbinding.
