Sam Saxton

Sam Saxton is a singer-songwriter from the Netherlands. She grew up influenced by a wide variety of soul and country records from the 60s & 70s. From an early age she felt the urge to create her own music. She found an old abandoned guitar, spent hours and hours alone in her room perfecting her skills, played songs over and over and eventually started writing her own music.

Along the way she met guitar player Bas Kors. As a music duo they traveled around the country performing on many different stages. They created a sound of their own, fell in love and now write songs together.

The last two years they have been working on their debut album 'TAKE A RIDE'. Together with producer Jeroen Tenty (MI5 Studios), they have ensured that the romanticism of 70s music can be heard in their autobiographically influenced songs. Several voices have been added as instruments to give the album a not only airy, but also dreamy feel. 'MISTY DAYS' will be the first single released from the album.
