Der Assistent

Der Assistent is Berlin based musician and producer Tom Hessler. His dubby pop songs carry us to where melancholy and bliss unite.
His one-man band features Timmy Thomas (R.I.P.) preset-grooves, a broad spectrum of jazzy Casio-tones, woodwinds from the westcoast and the occasional wonky amateur guitarsolo. His trippy little stories oscillate between mystery, crime and amore. And all the while, relaxed to the max, they constantly provide good vibrations. In his words these songs are a “Message of Indulgence” – all gentle title tunes to our individual fragile lives. He has even written a hymn to the letter W for all eternity.
