John Ciambriello Biography
John’s musical beginnings started in 5th grade when he was asked if he wanted to be in the new school band. John picked the drums just like every other boy wanted to do. He stuck with it until sometime in high school, John had a chance to take a guitar class. The rest is history.
In late 2004, John began recording an acoustic six song EP entitled “When Time Stands Still”, which was a collection of songs from his early writings that he was really passionate about. The EP was released in August of 2005.
In June of 2009, John gathered a couple of musicians and started a Pop/Rock band called After Autumn. The band started to play all over Connecticut at festivals, churches, coffeehouses, clubs, etc.
In August of 2011, After Autumn released a self-titled, six-song EP.
In 2012, after a tragic shooting in Newtown, CT., John wrote a song called “Standing With You” which carried a message of hope and community. The song was picked up by multiple media sources and John was asked on to TV shows and radio to play the song. CNN.com posted the song on their main page for a day, which created thousands of plays on the video.
In November of 2013, After Autumn released their second album entitled “Wake The Day.”
After the 2nd After Autumn CD was released, John felt like he was moving in a different direction from the band musically and decided on moving towards another season of musical searching in a solo format. After Autumn played a “Series Finale Show” on Oct. 11th, 2014.
Today John plays acoustic sets at restaurants, coffeehouses and festivals. He starting a wedding singing business in 2013 in which more info could be found at www.connecticutweddingsinger.com. To see John live, you can go to www.ciambriello.com/shows
