About this concert
Robert and the sessionmen (Ray Legere and Jon Arsenault) storm the Newhall Auditorium stage for a folknrolling night of brand new songs, stories and masterful all acoustic musicianship.
International Acoustic Music Award winner Robert Thomas has crafted songs for legends including, Kenny Rogers, Bonnie Raitt and the Chicks, and his live performances are becoming legendary with 74 consecutive standing ovations in Canada and the US to date. As a staff writer for music publishing, Thomas was tasked with writing hits and his deep, diverse repertoire reflects that. Each of his songs is distinct and memorable from ear-worm up-tempo sing along hand clappers to laser focused political commentary and arresting, break out the Kleenex mass appeal ballads, all delivered in an easy repartee with his audiences. Performing with his legendary band, the sessionmen - Ray Legere [fiddle and mandolin] and Jon Arsenault [guitar, percussion, keyboards and backing vocals], Robert Thomas and the session men are one of the rare acts you don't not want to miss - Simply put - “These boys know what they’re doing.” - Rodney Crowell.
A master songwriter and entertainer at the peak of his craft, backed by a terrific band, Thomas is a very special songwriter....“not to be missed.”

The venue was great, the other artist were all singing in French, which I do not speak, and therefore doubly enjoyed Robert Thomas. Great stage presence and clarity of speach.
