Herds Biography

Herds are a Nottingham UK, based independent psych rock group. The band, formerly known as The Amber Herd, have built up a cult following through playing many venues around the country as well as festivals such as High Voltage, Bearded Theory and HRH Prog, which awarded them the 'Embryo' award at the 2023 festival in Gt. Yarmouth.
Following both a name and personnel change in 2022 the band released its album 'Falling wide awake' on 20th October 2023 and has received excellent reviews for its diverse musical style and production.
Taking elements from almost every genre; a sprinkle of post-punk; a liberal scattering of psychedelia & americana, all mixed up in a bowl of progressive and alternative rock, they have built on their previous incarnation and expanded it into a whole new dynamic.

A nostalgic flair exists in this new wave meets post-punk sound dragging us back to the 80s; however, simultaneously, there is a contemporary indie-pop spark enhancing the edginess of HERDS.
