Joe Richter

Joe Richter sings from the heart, emotes his truth with sweet melodies, and telegraphs with no pretension in his approach to the microphone. He channels and emotes the songcraft of his musical idols Billy Joel and Bruce Springsteen while storytelling songs of love and heartbreak. Richter's early inspirations also included Marc Cohn, Van Morrison and the King: Elvis.

Joe has established himself as a solo acoustic performer on the Milwaukee music scene, beginning in the early 2000's. As a multi-instrumentalist, Joe brings a diverse song list to his performances, covering a wide range of musical genres. "My intention is for someone out there to hear something they've never heard in a live music setting. Although my true love is performing my own music, it's a close tie performing the B sides of some of my favorite artists".

Throughout the year, Joe features his band to perform with him. These shows are quite witty but musically moving and feature Joe's original music, as well as, incorporating well-known songs from the past. Joe's band features some of Milwaukee's finest musicians (John Wheeler, John Calarco, Dave Adler, Joe Gorman), some of which have been featured on Joe's debut record, "Revival".

In 2018, "Revival" was released and received several WAMI and Radio Milwaukee nominations. Local artists Willy Porter and the late Keith Pulvermacher lend solo guitar support on the record. Joe previously released a solo acoustic album in 2012 titled, Grace, which was partially recorded in Nashville at Castle Recording Studios.

Joe debuted as the lead vocalist of the Daryl Stuermer Band in 2017, performing the hits of Genesis and Phil Collins.

Joe's enduring love for pop music has inspired him along his musical journey to share some of the finest songs ever written that expand through decades.
