Ben Vogel Biography
Anchored by his soulful voice and fleet-fingered guitar, Ben Vogel’s songs seem to exist slightly out of time. Neither driven by nostalgia for the past, nor beholden to any modern trend, Vogel wraps disparate strains of rock, pop, R&B, and jazz into his own quietly unique style.
A classically trained bassist from a young age, Vogel spent his early twenties living a musical double life - working on his masters degree in music composition by day, and playing in rock and blues bands by night. He finally chose his acoustic guitar over academia, and released two albums (2019’s Whistling After Midnight and 2022’s Revealed) on his way to settling permanently in the Inland Northwest.
Vogel is currently hard at work in his home studio between gigs, on track to release one single every month of 2024. His Feb 2024 single “You Didn’t Have to be So Cruel” has been praised by Cheers to the Vikings as “a great experience from start to finish and will leave you stuck on constant repeat for a long time.”
