About this concert
A double bill of live progressive rock! Ivory Blacks regulars Long Earth return to Glasgow's premier prog venue one year on from their barnstorming double bill with The Emerald Dawn in 2024. Featuring several mainstays of the Glasgow music scene, Long Earth is charting an exciting path through the prog world with their melodic and symphonic craftmanship. They recently released their third album "An Ordinary Life" to critical acclaim. A must-see band whose immersive songs are packed with stories, beauty and emotion. Yorkshire’s melodic proggers Ghost Of The Machine have finally been tempted over the border to play in Scotland for the very first time. They will showcase material from their upcoming second album "Empires Must Fall", due for release in early 2025, alongside favourites from the award-winning debut "Scissorgames". The band brings its big, bombastic sound and penchant for theatrics to the stage, and is carving out a reputation for itself as “one of the best live bands of the current scene” (Jerry Ewing – Prog issue 152) Will there be prog dancing? Will there be kilts? You will find out if you buy a ticket! One thing guaranteed is a superb evening of exceptional live music and stunning value for money ticket prices. £10 advance, £15 on the door

Ghost of the Machine Biography

Described as “one of the best live bands of the current scene” (Jerry Ewing - Prog issue 152), Ghost Of The Machine was formed when five former members of This Winter Machine joined forces with vocalist Charlie Bramald (Age Of Distraction, Nine Skies). Blending memorable, melodic hooks with long-form songwriting and a fresh and bombastic sound, the band's influences range from Marillion and Genesis to Rush, Dream Theater and even new-wave stalwarts such as Gary Numan and Ultravox. Their award winning debut album 'Scissorgames' released in 2022, and the follow up 'Empires Must Fall' releases through ProgRock.com's Essentials label on 7th March 2025. Ghost Of The Machine's stage shows are renowned for infusing songs from the records with a huge and highly theatrical performance.
