RCA Biography

Over the past 2 years Riley, or better known on stage as RCA, has been taking the PNW by storm and has emerged as one of the top pop/soul artists in the area. Within his first 2 years, he has released an album that was created all in his bedroom using lust his computer and instruments that he has picked up over a span of 10 years. He wrote all of the lyrics, arranged every part on the tracks, and sang each vocal. In describing his style, he would consider himself indie pop and soul, but he feels like his music isn't confined to just any one genre. RCA gives listeners positive messages in songs like the encouraging "ONE FOOT IN FRONT OF THE OTHER" the fun *BE THE FLOW" and the funky rock tune "JUST DO IT". Lyrically, he gives a wonderfully depicted picture of the difficulties of life with
"MONSTERS IN MY HEAD" a crowd favorite. RCA shows his versatility in style by rapping and singing on the powerful "Believer' esque track "M.O.W.E" and the hopeful beat of "*WAITING IN MY DREAMS". As an artist he strives to bring light and upbeat messages that inspire others to be the version that they were made to be and overall cast a positive message, one that many need today. He has 2 music videos for his album including the upbeat inspirational song "YOU ARE ENOUGH" and the song for artists like himself "EXPECTATIONS." Both of these music videos are well created and preview what it's like to be an artist and a young adult living in the 2020's. These videos attracted the attention of the credit union STCU, which has allowed him to be one of the artists for their 2023 Holiday Moments of Cheer commercials which showcases local artists in Spokane, WA and Coeur d' Alene, ID.

RCA's musical journey as a music artist has just begun, but his list of musical experiences and achievements are immense. Starting out fundamentally playing classical guitar at age 10 and slowly getting into singing and playing guitar lead him into big places today. He has been in multiple choirs in high school from the one at his school the Men's Choir which took him to sing on Disneyland's stage and recording studio along with singing on a cruise ship in the Bahamas. He got to be a part of the elite State Jazz choirs and even the All Northwest Jazz choir which had only 24 members handpicked out of thousands. As a unique fact he was also part of a barber shop quartet for two Years that placed in the POAC'S Northern Stars Rising. RCA entered as a solo act as well in which he got first place. Outside of high school and choir, he has been a worship leader at several churches such as ThornCreek Church in Colorado, Real Life Post Falls in Idaho, and Life Center in Spokane which he currently leads at. Faith is very important in Riley's life and he always keeps it at the forefront of his life and it is evident in his music as well. Artists that he has been involved with include singing the national anthem before Alan Rayman and the Icelandic rock band Kaleo at the festival of Sandpoint, opening up a set for the Shook Twins, being the opener for the local Spokane Indie rock band Snacks at Midnight, Desperate Electric, and playing sets with Rosie Cerquone, and JoJo Dodge.

"It is amazing where God has taken me with music," He says in his own words. "Wherever I have gone and will go, all of the talents, equipment I have acquired, and people I get to meet with this passion is all just a blessing and a gift from God." He knows that there are big things in-store for his future and that is why he has begun to fully pursue full-time. He dreams of playing in big places and inspiring others. When solo, he utilizes the unique skill of live looping to create a one man band type of feel. The covers he plays are from artists and bands like Khalid, Andy Grammar, Ed Sheeran, John Legend, Bruno Mars, Brandon Lake, Post Malone, One Republic, and Imagine Dragons. He even plays older songs from: Jim Croce, Michael Jackson, Queen, The Commodores, and Eagles. The newest things that RCA has been up to is working on new music that he plans to release in May 2024 and playing with his Newest 6 person band RCA & THE RADICALS. He includes a decent amount of his originals during sets to give listeners a taste ot his own artistry and what he has been creating.
