The 9th Annual HomeGrown Festival features 7 bands from across the state--rock, indie, roots, and songwriter artists. This is a FREE event for all ages, with a $10 cover for a 21+ wrist band for those who want to enjoy beverages from our partner breweries. The Old Oaks Duo encompasses the chill-yet-funky acoustic music of singer-songwriter Frank Laufenberg. Their latest album The Day Before Yesterday, which has over 60,000 streams on Spotify, is a reflection on the past, meant to be understood like a memory that's on the tip of your tongue. Their folk-funk originals are paired with covers from artists spanning from Neil Young to Jimi Hendrix to Vulfpeck. Frank's vocals and 12-string guitar interludes are complemented by harmonious saxophone solos and alto flute riffs by Daniel Haschke. The duo will be joined by touring bassist Zac Curtes. Frank and Daniel also play with Madison’s award-winning funk-fusion band Wurk.
