Jim Gelcer Music

Come and join us at the Emmet Ray as the "Gelcer/Lovekin Collective" have their performance debut! The concert will take place Thursday May 11th, with two sets of live music starting at 6pm. On this particular occasion, Jim Gelcer (Drums) and Oliver Lovekin (Guitar) are joined by featured artists David Hodgson (Saxophone) and George Koller (Bass) to bring to you an exploratory night of jazz quartet music. Inspired by the great Jazz Standard tradition of Black American Music, the Collective will draw repertoire and inspiration from jazz lumineers such as the great Thelonius Monk, Ornette Coleman, Miles Davis, and Wayne Shorter, to name a few.
