Taj Church Biography
Producer, singer, and songwriter Taj Church blends R&B vocals with cinematic soundscapes and pop elements. Based in Seattle, Taj began his career with the release of his 5-track EP Wonderland in 2023. His music often explores complex emotions and feelings, using wordplay and imagery to delve into the intense emotional landscape he inhabits while living in our world today, which at times can be rather harsh and cold to the human spirit.
Growing up in Michigan, Taj's early influences included pop, R&B, gospel, and soul. After coming out, he began frequenting dance clubs and fell in love with electronic dance music. This led to a discovery of previously untapped genres like techno, IDM, and UK garage, inspiring him to incorporate his voice into these genres and shaping the music he creates today.
With newer tracks like "Logic" released in June 2024, Taj pushes his creative limits and reaches for more ambitious artistic expression.
