John S. Hall and Dogbowl are the co-founders of King Missile (Dog Fly Religion), the original incarnation of a group that, in various forms, was a college radio staple in the late 80's and early 90's.In its various forms, King Missile released a string of songs that were resoundingly embraced by American college radio, including "Take Stuff From Work," "Wuss," "Sensitive Artist," "Jesus Was Way Cool," "Cheesecake Truck," "Martin Scorsese," and the hugely popular "Detachable Penis."John S. Hall and Dogbowl will perform together this Spring in Australia under the name King Missile (Dog Fly Religion). This will be the group's first time performing in Australia.

King Missile Biography
King Missile is an avant-garde band that has been led in various incarnations by poet/singer John S. Hall since 1986. The group is probably best known for the 1993 alternative music radio hit Detachable Penis. They achieved a cult following earlier with the song "Jesus Was Way Cool". They were an anchor band for the indie label Shimmy Disc. Now known as King Missile III (pronounced "the third"), the group released its ninth album, Royal Lunch, in 2004.
