About this concert
British indie-rock band from Wigan, Greater Manchester, The Lathums, are bringing their Wigan of Oz Tour down under for October 2025! Honesty, hope & heartbreak feature in the poetry-laced music of The Lathums. Everything sung from the heart, four young men from an overlooked town in England’s north gathered as teenagers without ego or expectation and set about changing the lives of the people that gathered around them. Matter Does Not Define was written by the band, comprised of Alex Moore (vocals / rhythm guitar), Scott Concepcion (guitars, piano and vocals) Ryan ‘Duz’ Durrans (drums) and Matty Murphy (bass and vocals), in their native Wigan before recording at Kempston Street Studios, Liverpool. They completed their new masterpiece of equally introspective and pulse-quickening indie in the company of both good friend and old college tutor John Kettle and producer, Chris Taylor. On the live front, The Lathums have toured with The Killers, Louis Tomlinson and played a whole run of festivals including SXSW, Glastonbury, Leeds / Reading, Neighbourhood Weekender to name a few and have had support from the likes of Brandon Flowers (The Killers), Matt Helders (Arctic Monkeys), Miles Kane, Blossoms and more. The Lathums have proved themselves to be a band for all times and all people. Propelled by the power in their songs and the sense of community fostered amongst loyal fans, see what all the fuss is about when The Lathums perform live in Australia for the very first time this October! Best concert I’ve seen in a long time. So much growth in the music by the lathums. Crowd was bouncing so so good.
Security at venue awful !!! Fight in second song, took over 5 mins for security to step in. Never witnessed such a scary scene and was astonished how long it took to get help. Lathums again were brilliant and attempted to bring calm and love.

The Lathums Biography
From the broken heart of a boy in his bedroom to the unimaginable gift of the love of strangers, The Lathums’ tale is one of resilience, hope and a brothe rand sisterhood growing far beyond their own, madcap bubble. It’s now told across 12, beautifully crafted songs, including the singles that have made them the fastest rising, British guitar band of 2021–The Great Escape, Oh My Love, Fight On, I’ll Get By, I See Your Ghost andI Know That Much. From slogging their gear into the north of England’s pubs and small venues to causing stampedes for tickets to ride the communal, euphoric wave of their live shows, it’s the band’s ability to sing the words everyone else feels that made their fans cling on and neither they or The Lathums want to let go. Alex Moore has cast a new outline of the modern frontman, singing alongside student of the Marr-esque jangle guitar, Scott Concepcion and steady, rhythmic, wise head, Ryan Durrans on drums. Pithily described by those closest as ‘like The Inbetweeners in a Shane Meadows film’, they have proved themselves to be four bright, wild flowers growing between grey paving stones.
