Michael Yo, the self-proclaimed Half-Black Brother with a Korean Mother, was born and raised in Houston and got his radio start in Austin at the popular central-Texas station, 96.7, more than 13 years ago. He also worked in radio in Houston before moving to his other hometown of Miami, where he manages to stay dedicated to his Michael Yo Show on Miamis Y100. Michael made his debut on E! in 2008 as a Host and Reporter for E! News. You can also see Michael as a regular panelist on Chelsea Latelys round table and on EXTRA. Michael has appeared at numerous comedy clubs across the country including The Improvs, Comedy Store, Palms Hotel, Laugh Factory and Stand-Up Live. Michael can also be seen on Kourtney and Khloe take Miami and as a celebrity correspondent on CNN, FOX and MSNBC.

Michael Yo Biography

A 2-time Emmy nominee, regular on the Joe Rogan Experience and fresh off his critically acclaimed comedy special “Blasian,” Michael Yo is a comedian, actor and host keeping busy in all of Hollywood’s platforms.

Michael is a proud father and loving husband with a bottomless pool of material about his family. In stand up, Michael came up under the wings of Chelsea Handler and Jo Koy and now headlines all over the country. He also appeared on season 15 of America's Got Talent; Michael received a yes from all four judges and made it to the Quarter-Finals.

As an actor, Michael stars as Philip Brown in the Apple TV+ series “Amber Brown,” recurred on “Kevin Can Wait,” shot the Damon Wayan Jr.’s pilot “Happy Together” for CBS, and was a principal in Facebook Watch’s first sitcom series, “Starter Pack.” Michael previously covered celebrity news on “The Insider,” “Extra” and “E! News.” He also coached Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian as radio DJs for their show “Kourtney & Khloé Take Miami” on E! Michael has co-hosted CBS’ “The Talk” and continues to appear as a hot topics guest on “The Wendy Williams Show.”

Michael hosts the “Yo Show” podcast, which often includes conversations with fellow comedians and influencers. Guests have included Dane Cook, Jo Koy, Tone Bell, Donnell Rawlings, Craig Conant, Jim Jeffries, Rick Fox, Anjelah Johnson, Margaret Cho, Sam Morril, Warren G, Daphnique Springs, Steve Byrne, Dr Pimple Popper, David Koechner, Maz Jobrani and Preacher Lawson.
