Recent Blue Note signing, Paul Cornish makes his debut. Together, this Trio of Cornish, Pinson and Paul, presents a truly unique, collaborative sound built on their wealth and breadth of collective experience along with years of friendship to present a compassionate, yet daring, sound experience that aspires to present music in an honest way, from a pure place and poised for the moment. Paul Cornish, a Los Angeles-based pianist and composer, has performed worldwide with top artists like Kanye West and Joshua Redman. He composed music for the 2024 Grammy-nominated EP 'NOVA' by James Fauntleroy. Cornish attended HSPVA in Houston and received a fellowship to the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz at UCLA. He was a finalist in the 2023 Herbie Hancock International Jazz Piano Competition and the American Pianists Association's Jazz Competition. Jermaine Paul, a bassist from Compton, started with violin and cello before focusing on double bass under Harvey Estrada. He studied Jazz at CSU Northridge and worked with artists like MC Hammer and Macy Gray. Jonathan Pinson, an American drummer, began music at age two, later studying at Berklee and UCLA. He has played with Kamasi Washington and Seal and leads the project 'Boom Clap.'
