DJ Sydney Love

Sydney Love is a DJ based in the heart of New York City. Her inspiration to DJ stemmed from studying legends such as DJ Scratch, DJ Supreme, Hi-Tek and DJ Clue. It was a rocky start until she met her mentor, world famous DJ Scratch of EPMD. She worked as an intern/personal assistant for DJ Scratch on his weekly live broadcast show ScratchVision where she learned the most important basics of DJing and important details of the craft. While working as an intern at ScratchVision, Sydney DJ’ed small private events and house parties before really moving up into privately held events, such as club parties, unsigned artist shows and more.

Sydney has aspired to be a DJ since a young age, her love for mixing goes way back to the 90’s in elementary school when she used to record music on cassettes via radio shows, classifying each tape by genre and collecting CD’s and cassette albums from family members. With no access to turntables, she made do with what she had. With a personal and immeasurable love for Hip-Hop music and finally building up the courage to live out her dream, here she is today.

Originally from the Bronx, New York, raised in Miramar, South Florida by way of Oakland, California, her vast knowledge of music grows by the day and always satisfies the crowd. Her specialty of music is Hip-Hop but very well includes House, Rap, Techno, Dance, Pop, Downtempo, R&B, 90’s, 80’s, Alternative/Rock and 90’s Dancehall.

Sydney can be described as funny, shy, timid, and laid-back, but when it comes to music, she automatically shows her true spirit, which is to please an audience and get into their hearts by way of sound. Though others may be DJing for the money, she makes it known it is always for the love of music.
