Flo

Florian De Schepper, alias "Flo," is a Belgian guitarist from Ghent who has been active in the folk scene since childhood. With bands like Bogus and Broes, with which he has won numerous prizes and competitions since his teenage years, and Les Bandits de Belleville and Loogaroo, he has made a name for himself in the Belgian music landscape. Florian has also gained international recognition, having performed in over 10 countries across Europe and even in China on multiple occasions. He has been nominated for 'Best Album' and 'Best Live Band' at the 'Flanders Folk Awards' and has already released seven albums. Recently, Florian has been performing solo as "Flo", playing his own eclectic compositions on acoustic guitar. His unique style, combining folk with classical, jazz, and various world music styles, makes him a versatile guitarist who derives pleasure from exploring the exotic.
In 2022, Florian chose to travel to 10 islands in Southern Europe with just a backpack and an acoustic guitar. On each island, he composed a new tune, each with its own story and specific guitar tuning. Flo's compositions speak directly to the hearts of his listeners, transcending language and culture. His music tells stories of love, nature, and the beauty that is found in simplicity. Through his delicate yet rhythmic playing, he captures the emotions and experiences that define each island. 'Islas' is a musical travelogue of a man with a plan: to explore new places and expand his musical horizons.
