MARIA SANCHEZ

Maria Sanchez, also known as Groovy MS, is a Chicana Soul/Funk artist from Riverside, CA that brings “That Soulful Love Type of Music” with a mix of her favorite genres: Oldies, Soul, and Funk. Through her music as a Singer/Songwriter, she aims to create a sense of tranquility and nostalgia that allows one to reminisce. Maria started off with releasing covers to a range of artists and genres, such as Musiq Soulchild, Kali Uchis, and Brenton Wood. One commonality with the music covered is the aspect of soul. Through her covers and opportunities taken, such as the “Now it’s your turn” competition hosted by Big Crown Records, she was able to create a partnership with labels, like Soul Tune Records to begin releasing her own original work.

In 2021, Maria released her Debut 45 with Sweden based label, Soul Tune Records. The debut 45 consisted of her two massive tracks titled “Dynamite” and “Sensation.” Recently in 2022, Maria co-released a new 45 with Soul Tune Records and Southern California based label, My Grito Industries.

In late of 2022, Maria formed her band which consists of the following talented folks:
