FREYA

FREYA’s musical journey started in her early childhood, when she first played the violin at the age of five. Coming from a classical music affine family and growing up in the 80’s and 90’s, she was strongly influenced by the most powerful eras of music evolution up until now. Still, it took her half of a lifetime to close the circle and find her home in electronic music and into a professional music career.

The vocal strong musician learned how to produce from the pike, launched her own record label and rediscovered her violin. Production wise she doesn't want to be put in a drawer, her composing skills range from arranging movie sounds, over organic house to fast forward techno. From mixing the last official, physically produced Streetparade Warm Up Compilation, to producing one of the most selling techno packs for sample giant Zenhiser, she already ticked many boxes on her way into the music scene.

Behind the decks her sound is pretty clear: groovy, up-tempo and mostly high energetic techno mixed with her own, distinctive productions make up the typical FREYA sound. Sometimes a blast from the past, sometimes a flash from the future, definitely never what you expect.
