Nazz Biography
There is more than one artist with this name:
1) The Nazz were a psychedelic American band famous for their hit "Open My Eyes" and the fact that member Todd Rundgren later went on to fame as a solo artist and producer.
2) The Nazz were a late-60's psychedic rock band that in 1968 would change their name to Alice Cooper. The band got their name from "The Nazz Are Blue", a song by The Yardbirds. Very little was actually recorded, though the band did regular live shows. Much of their material would be rewritten for use later on the first Alice Cooper albums. Today, only one track can be found by them, "Lay Down and Die, Goodbye", available on the first disc of Alice's 1999 box set "The Life and Crimes of Alice Cooper".
