Mombojó Biography
Mombojó is a brazilian band from Recife, Pernambuco.
They playes many times at the Abril Pro Rock Festival.
Their debut, entitled Nadadenovo, was distributed in april 2004 by the OutraCoisa magazine.
Since their beggining in april 2001, Mombojó has been colecting important experiences for the actual work of the band. In 2002 Mombojó was on one of the most important festivals in Brazil, having good reviews from the press about their concert in the 10º Abril Pro Rock.
In 2003, the band was benefited by Pernambuco's government to record their first Album: Nadadenovo. Recorded and mixed in Recife by Igor Medeiros and Mad Mud (Leo D & William P), and masterized in São Paulo (Classic Master), the album soon got the publics attention and the media. Nadadenovo are fifteen tracks with many local folk influences with some local instruments and electronic samples.
In the sixth of july of 2007, Rafael (aka "O Rafa"), 24 years old, the trombone and flute player, who was always by the side of Marcelo Campello, past away from a heart attack.
