A Bu

Born in Beijing, A Bu began his classical piano music study at the age of four. He was soon winning awards, and went on to enroll at the Chinese capital’s famous Central Conservatory of Music, recognized as an outstanding talent. But in addition to his classical studies, A Bu was also fascinated by jazz, latin, live improvisation, modern recording and composing techniques. He formed his first jazz trio in 2012, and today, at the age of 18, A Bu has already played with some key names in the international classical and jazz worlds, including Chick Corea, Antonio Hart, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Al Jarreau, the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra and Moscow Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra. A Bu is currently living in New York and studying at the Juilliard School Pre-College.
