Oblivion Dust Biography
Oblivion Dust is a Japanese rock band founded in 1996, which remained active untill 2001. In that short space of time they released 5 albums and 11 singles. Their sound is very influenced by early 90's american bands, like Nirvana and Nine Inch Nails, but with a trademark sonority that makes the band very unique.
Their final line-up in that period consisted of:
Ken Lloyd (vocals)
Kaz Iwaike (guitar)
Masaru Yoshida (guitar, formerly support guitar)
Rikiji Masuda (bass)
Souta Furuton (drums)
In September 2007 Ken, Kaz and Rikiji reunited and performed at a couple of concerts in Japan, when a new Oblivion Dust album was announced to come. This album is planned to be released in January 2008 along with a bonus DVD containing footage from those concerts.
During the Oblivion Dust hiatus, most - if not all - of the members continued to work in the music industry. Notably, both Kaz and Furuton have backed up HYDE and Ken Lloyd founded a band called FAKE? along with INORAN.
