Talk Show Biography
Talk Show launched in 2019 with their debut single ‘Fast and Loud’ on Yala Records, which catapulted the band across the UK.
Known for their exhilarating live shows, they performed on stages at TGE and Dot to Dot, supporting the likes of Fontaines DC, Shame and The Garden, and made the NME’s top 100 and DIY’s Class of 2020. ‘These People’ followed, to critical acclaim, and lead them to the studio to create releases with Eli Brown (Polydor), sign to publishers Just Isn’t Music, and create their second EP ‘Touch The Ground’ with Joe Goddard and Al Doyle. This saw the band move away from of their post-punk influences, toward an electronica/industrial influenced sound, and quickly signed to Missing Piece for the anticipated debut album.
Talk Show's debut album ‘Effigy’, was released in early 2024 to critical acclaim, marking their most successful year yet. Recorded with Remi Kabaka Jr. (Gorillaz) and largely self-mixed, Effigy showcased the band's evolution. They performed at major festivals including Reading & Leeds and Latitude, sold-out headline shows in London and Edinburgh and saw success across Europe. Riding this momentum, Talk Show are gearing up for a follow-up release in 2025.
