Yung Miami Biography
Caresha's presence in entertainment makes a statement beyond the music. Her bold and braggadocious lyricism mixed with her unapologetic and daring persona marks her as a force that isn’t to be reckoned with. As a successful rapper, TV personality, and entrepreneur, Caresha empowers women everywhere to be confident and stay true to oneself by embracing one’s own individuality.
Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Caresha uses her cultural upbringing to distinguish herself from her peers. She stepped on the scene in 2017 as Yung Miami of rap duo, City Girls, where she set the stage for a career allowing her to spotlight her advocacy for sexual empowerment and financial abundance amongst women. In 2018, the group achieved great success with their first mixtape “Period” – a pivotal moment that kick-started her solo rap journey. Popular solo songs and feature hits like "Rap Freaks," "Stub the Ground," "Don't Play With It (Remix)," and her newest single "CFWM" with Skilla Baby showcase her lyrical capacity and ignite not just entertainment, but a movement.
While achieving much music success on multiple different tracks, Caresha has also had many viral moments in music and on social media that have opened doors to the various business moves she has made. One of her most notable viral moments with her friend, Saucy Santana, is what prompted the launch of her successful podcast “Caresha Please” on Revolt TV. She continued to leverage the popularity of her budding persona with the launch of her debut drinking game titled “Resha Roulette” in January 2023. The game sold out within minutes and the demand for Resha Roulette skyrocketed domestically and internationally.
In October 2023, Caresha's talent and impact were recognized with a win at the BET Hip Hop Awards, further cementing her status in the industry. The "Don't Play with It" (Remix) by Lola Brooke feat. Latto & Yung Miami was also nominated for Best Collaboration at the upcoming BET Awards 2024.
Caresha's fashion sense is just as fierce as her lyrics. She's a trendsetter, a rule breaker, and a master of turning heads wherever she goes. Her contagious confidence radiates in every step and is the ultimate reminder that being true to oneself is the strongest power move.
Caresha’s multi-layered career success has seen high praises from the likes of NY Mag/The Cut, VOGUE, Glamour – just to name a few. The secret ingredient to her continuous upward trajectory is her willingness to consistently work hard and stay driven. Ventures like "Caresha Please" and "Resha Roulette" reflect her diverse interests and wholesome spirit, igniting empowerment in others. With each release and venture, Caresha crafts a legacy that transcends music, intertwining empowerment and individuality.
