DJ OBI Biography
World-renowned “vibe originator” DJ Obi is a Nigerian DJ and musical tastemaker.
He began his career hosting the Open House Party radio program and has since
performed alongside some of Africa’s biggest stars. In 2016 Obi set a world record
for performing the world’s longest-ever DJ set at 240 hours. His work garnered Obi a
Future Awards Africa Prize for Creative Professional. Often referred to as a “sound
originator,” Obi’s House now hosts a plethora of guests from all over the world and
sets the tone for fresh music as well as new and legendary acts alike. DJ Obi runs
the live show at Homecoming Festival, where Nigerian and international artists
perform back-to-back. DJ Obi has been amplified as a brand ambassador for
companies like Tag Heuer, Nike, Heineken, Jack Daniel’s, Belvedere, and more.
