About this concert
King Cool is Back - Fresh from his 82nd birthday party with Special Guest drummers; Joe Vitale and Joe Vitale Jr. Donnie Iris Donnie Iris found his early successes while performing with The Jaggerz " The Rapper" and Wild Cherry. While with Wild Cherry in the late 70’s Donnie Iris found his identity as such, after performing under his birth name Dominic Lerace for the earlier part of his career. Struggling to build off the success of “Play that Funky Music”, Wild Cherry would break up in 1979. Nevertheless, Iris had already sunk his teeth into another project with fellow bandmate Mark Avsec. Their first release saw the disco-influenced single “Bring on the Eighties” in 1979; however, it failed to garner attention. Iris and Avsec decided to go in a harder direction for their next release and returned to the studio with guitarist Marty Lee, bassist Albritton McClain and drummer Kevin Valentine, who were in the band Breathless with Avsec, to record his first album. This line-up would form what would become - Donnie Iris and the Cruisers. They released the first album in July of 1980, “Back on The Streets” through Midwest Records based out of Cleveland, Ohio. Thanks to the track “Ah! Leah!” receiving airplay in Boston, Cleveland, and Pittsburgh, MCA Records signed Iris to a five-album deal then re-releasing the album nationally. Since then, Donnie Iris & The Cruisers have gone through line-up changes including current bassist, Paul Goll. They continue on - releasing eleven studio albums, two live albums, two compilation albums. and continue to tour throughout Pennsylvania and Ohio. Joe Vitale Jr. Biography
TRIUMPH. OVER. ADVERSITY.
This is the driving force behind Ravenwood, fronted by Joe Vitale Jr. For the past decade, Joe has been clawing his way through the jungle-like terrain of the music scene—even if it means he has to crawl. But one thing’s for certain-- with his blend of classic rock and modern rock, and a sweet dash of "signature Joe", Ravenwood is poised to lead the aural revolution.
This isn't cookie-cutter music from a sound-a-like artist. Ravenwood is unique-- out-of-the-box honesty with no B.S. Joe has taken life's knocks-- heartache, disappointment, falsehoods, doubt and frustration-- rolled-up his sleeves, and turned it all into a message of rockin' positivity with his debut album "Dancing with Shadows". It’s an album nine-years in the making and worth the wait. "Fight It or Self Destruct", "I Don't Belong Here", "Mysterious", "Never Look Back", and "Break!" perfectly relay his missive of triumph over adversity. With fist-pumping rejuvenation you can hear yourself sing along:
"You can't stop what you can't control/You can't stop me /
I never will self-destruct!"...
Find yourself identifying with: a relationship gone bad-- the breakup anthem "It's Not Me It's You"; the pursuit of the alluring lady of your dreams with "Beautiful Girl"; that special someone who’s become your addiction with "You Make Me Feel Alive"; people that have judgments and preconceived notions, with the title track "Dancing With Shadows".
Joe's positivity, his Faith and beliefs are woven throughout this critically acclaimed album.

And there's always room for more.
"But now I stand in the light/I'll never stop only fight/When all was lost made a vow / My time has come here and now...."
