Ranger Biography
Four working class lads trying to change our stars. We met at a pool party and bonded over childhood church trauma in the aftermath of our first bands breaking up.
As a group we draw heavily from our hometown, Reno, the neon-mountain sin-city. A wacky gem intertwined with debauchery and bizarre transience. One look around and there’s enough to inspire an entire creative circus.
Our sound barrels forward by way of Dream Pop/Indie Rock, wrapping you in power ballad hooks, group harmonies and confessional lyrics. We’re splintering genres, trying to find tiny contours of new feeling.
Our visuals inspire indiscriminate body movement- shaking, punching, jumping, running, anything resembling an odd exorcism brought on by wanting to dance but not being very good at it.
We hope to build a bridge out of strange backgrounds laced with religious traumas, to somewhere that hopefully embraces fallibility and darkness. All in the name of love for each other and for raw expression.
