Boy Hits Car formed in 1993 with the idea to write melodic-heavy music that would translate well into a high energy live show. Their brand of music has been dubbed LoveCore connecting people around the world in a positive way through the heavy, uplifting tones and messages found in the BHC sound. Years of touring internationally has led them to their 6th album, WorldWide Alive, a live album of previously released tracks (+ 2 bonus cover tracks) that was released on 9/11 of 2020 through Cleopatra Records. Stay tuned for updates as the guys have wrapped up the next studio album, Waves of Sound Across Oceans of Time. Its set to be released through DarkStar Records (Sony/Universal) in 2023 with tour dates to follow. Boy Hits Car Biography
Boy Hits Car was started in 1993 with a simple idea—to write and perform 'passionately heavy music' infused with a world beat/middle eastern flavor. Based out of northwest Los Angeles, the band spent the first few years perfecting their sound while playing both local and regional shows.
Since their inception, Boy Hits Car has continued to tour the US, UK and Germany supporting their newest albums, Stealing Fire which was released in 2011 & All That Led Us Here in 2014. Stealing Fire is quite possibly the bands most compelling work to date. A month long tour in Germany/Austria followed the release as the band landed a licensing deal in Germany, Austria and Switzerland through Swell Creek records (Soul food). The tour was a great success largely due to working closely with K.O.K.S., their German booking agency. Since the release BHC had teamed up with 3Thirteen booking agency in the US and began touring in support of Stealing Fire with a 5 week headlining US tour in 2012 and 3 1/2 months on the road in 2013(US dates) supporting Taproot and Smile Empty Soul. Upon returning home to finish the 5th studio album a one off radio festival was offered and the boys were off to CNY to support Drowning Pool at a Krock (100.9-106.5) event with added dates. More touring in 2014-15 continued as BHC landed a deal for All That Led Us Here overseas with Eternal Sound Records.
