Between Paris and London, French band Evergreen (FKA We Were Evergreen) have
released a handful of EPs and three albums: ‘Towards’ (2014), ‘Overseas’ (2018) and 'Sign
Out' (2021). Together, their music is a mix of nostalgic and contemporary sounds, and
their songs (sometimes sung in English, sometimes in French) offer a softly poetic, often
playful take on cross-border identity and human relationships in the digital age.
Evergreen's upcoming album Végétal Digital draws on the environmental, political and
technological crisis of today's world to imagine a fantasy future in which plantlife has
mutated to adapt and overcome the human world. It is a bilingual blend of both Britpop
and French Touch influences, peppered with some light electronica and r&b touches.
Végétal Digital is set to be released on February 26th, 2025 on digital and vinyl.
