Sophie Faith Biography
“Faith’s soulful vocals flawlessly resonate with the jazzy production, while her deeply
personal and experiential lyrics reveal themselves to awe-struck listeners”
- Lyrical Lemonade
Solidified as a reputable star of British soul, she can already name a remarkable list of
collaborators, from the incomparable Stormzy to jazz maestro Reuben James – and media
support ranging from Jamz Supernova and Jamie Cullum to Complex and Earmilk.
Emerging in 2017, Faith quickly amassed a loyal following. Breakout single “Say So,” featured
on ITV2’s Love Island, was followed by ruminative “Bad Blood” and the up-tempo “Salt.”
Yet by the time of the Covid pandemic, Faith was uncertain about pursuing music. It took the
blockbuster single “Heart Is On My Sleeve,” co-written with Stormzy, to re-inspire her. In her
own words, “I needed something soothing and Stormzy really threw me a lifeline.”
With plaudits from Victoria Jane and DJ ACE, the track capped off a stunning five-track EP,
2022’s “The Right Side of Wrong.” Exec-produced by 5x GRAMMY-nominated Linden Jay, and
infused with gospel harmonies alongside James’ virtuosic piano stylings, Faith’s EP is a tour
de force of modern soul.
Building on her packed-out appearance at the Jazz Cafe in 2021, Faith embarked on a
sold-out headline tour across Manchester, Brighton, and London. Her 2024 “Hold My Drink”
tour coincided with the EP release “Hold My Drink, Watch This,” adding international dates
in Amsterdam, Berlin, and Warsaw. The EP’s singles were well-received at her sold-out
Lafayette show. A final track featuring Kwaku Asante awaits, and with her debut studio
album on the horizon, Faith is set for more success.
Simultaneously, her songwriting has attracted interest from industry figures like Swedish
House Mafia, Gorgon City, and Erik the Architect. In 2024, she will release new work with
Defected Records. Previous collaborations with DJ Zinc, Girls of The Internet, and Alix Perez
have established Faith in the dance music scene, especially with performances singing for
Girls of the Internet, notably at Glastonbury.
