ELLiS·D Biography
Drummer-turned-solo artist ELLiS·D spent his formative years flailing his limbs across the tattered kits of the UK and Europe's basement scene before launching a solo project in 2022. The ensuing two years has seen him in a state of consistent performance, painting the walls of sweaty dives and concert halls alike across the continent with their nervy brand of gothic art-punk.
Working closely with DIY label Crafting Room Recordings (run by Archie Sagers of Ladylike) 2025 sees the release of sophomore EP ‘Spill’ on March 21st, marked by the epic seven minute motorik-glam single ‘Drifting’ in January. Combined with his renowned work as a session drummer for the likes of Fat Dog, Johnny Borrell, Trip Westerns and many more, ELLiS·D has earned a growing reputation from his tireless touring schedule and electrifying live performances as one of the hardest working musicians on the UK circuit.
“Imagine if David Byrne and David Bowie merged in a bizarre scene from a 1980s sci-fi bonanza. Then imagine if that new beast wandered into a goth club during that same era. Half glam rock, half neurotic punk but fully stylistic in its musical carnage. The result is ELLiS·D.” - Far Out
