June Swoon’s performance at The Peppermint Club was nothing short of captivating. She brought a fresh, atmospheric alt-country sound that balanced emotional depth with an understated intensity. Her songs carried a sense of quiet power, with rich melodies and lyrics that felt honest and raw. There was no flash or pretense—just pure storytelling that connected deeply with the audience. June’s ability to blend classic country influences with a more modern, reflective edge made her set a perfect warm-up for Goldie Boutilier.

June Swoon Biography
An American drifter, Lydell creates alt-country from the foothills of Los Angeles. Songwriter/producer Juli Lydell and her band create catharsis at every show, at home or on the road. June Swoon's sound has been compared to Julia Jacklin, Rilo Kiley, and Emmylou Harris.
“Talented vocal work full of personality over a rhythmic instrumentation with infectious guitar lines, compelling distortion and heartfelt lyricism” (Velvety)
“A very eclectic sound derived primarily with rich-toned, guitar-driven, storytelling that paints her heart out for the listener” (Independent Music Reviews)
“Genuine introspective emotion and experimentation. Evocative of both Modest Mouse and Nancy Sinatra” (York Calling)
