Samurai Pizza Cats Biography
Samurai Pizza Cats from Castrop-
Rauxel have long since ceased to be an insider tip since
their first self released songs. Founded
in 2021 by Daniel Haniß (Electric Callboy), Sebastian
Fischer and Stefan Buchwald (both ex-Fall Of Gaia), the band quickly gained a loyal fan base
thanks to its unique sound and energetic live performances. Stefan Reufer, the band's bassist,
has been a permanent member of Samurai Pizza Cats since 2021.
Musically, the band moves between metalcore and deathcore with electronic influences,
captivating with catchy melodies and powerful guitar riffs. Their songs are characterized by a
mixture of biting humor and profound themes, which gives their name, which alludes to a
cult anime series, an additional humorous touch.
Samurai Pizza Cats released their first album “YOU'RE HELLCOME” in 2023. The album was
released on September 22 and entered the Top 100 German album charts.
Musically and lyrically, the formation combines a wide variety of styles, which
is reflected on the debut album “YOU'RE HELLCOME”. For some tracks, the young band from the Ruhr area was able to secure well known features, including members of bands such as Future Palace and For I
Am King, as well as Nico Sallach from Electric Callboy. In January 2024, the band played an almost
entirely sold out headlining tour in Germany and
Austria and is already in the process of writing new music.
