Hanno Busch Trio Biography
__HANNO BUSCH :
Hanno Busch is a guitarist & composer based in Cologne, Germany. Since two decades he performs in every kind of jazz or pop/rock related genre. He studied at Amsterdam School Of The Arts, successfully taking different musical paths right from the start. Like this, he toured and recorded with both well established and upcoming jazz artists, such as Peter Weniger, the NDR Big Band feat. Bobby McFerrin, Niels Klein - "Tubes & Wires", Peter Herbolzheimer's "Rhythm Combination & Brass", "re:jazz" or Jesse Milliner. At the same time, he worked with Rock'n'Roll legend Peter Kraus, popstar Sasha or leading indie pop artist PeterLicht. Since 2007, he has been a regular member of the "Heavytones", Gemany's best TV-Band.
Working together with Michael Wollny and Tamar Halperin in their project "Wunderkammer", playing at the prestigious Jazz Baltica in 2010, inspired Busch to pursue his own creative ways more intensely. He formed both his own trio and the quartet "Sommerplatte", for which he has contributed all songs, together with keyboard player Tobias Philippen.
__HANNO BUSCH :: TRIO
Claus Fischer and Hanno Busch started their musical relationship back in 2004, when Fischer asked him to join his band for the TV-Show "Anke Late Night" (SAT1). The two of them continued to join forces for several projects from that point on, touring and recording with Cosmo Klein & "The Phunkguerilla", Gregor Meyle, Renée Olstead, Jesse Milliner, Peter Weninger and their own band "Sommerplatte".
Jonas Burgwinkel is currently among the most celebrated avantgarde jazz drummers in Europe. Busch asked him to join his trio because he was looking for a completely different and fresh perspective. Burgwinkel is a master at combining a free jazz approach and moving dance beats with intriguing ease. Like that, he seemed to be the perfect missing link, completing Busch's vision of his trio sound.
