Ramon Ayala Biography
In the twin worlds of tejano and norteno music, Ramon Ayala is a living legend, a man of immense talent and fortitude who has released more than 100 albums to date. Born in Monterrey Mexico, Ayala got his start in the clubs of the Tex-Mex border region. For many years, he performed with famed bajo sexto maestro, Cornelio Reyna, and the two formed the band Los Relampagos del Norte. Ayala and Reyna diverged in the early 1970s, each pursuing successful solo careers. Ayala went on to form the band Los Bravos del Norte --- with whom he currently tours.
