CLIP Biography
CLIP’s work offers a glimpse into the 23-year old’s own reality; her lyrics are intimate, influenced by her own life experiences. The aural contrast of fantasy and reality in both CLIP’s work and presence has attracted a strong following since her debut (her breakout track “Sad B!tch” currently sits at 6Mill+ streams and counting).
CLIP dropped "Calvin K" in late 2021, followed by the singles "FALL BACK" and "Hurt U". These led up to the release of her 2022 debut EP, PERCEPTION, and garnered critical acclaim from Pitchfork, DAZED, The Face, CLASH, Crack, Hypebeast, The Line Of Best Fit, NME, and The FADER. CLIP’s unique sense of style has also captured the attention of the fashion world. CLIP fronted the cover of PAPER Magazine November 2022 issue and was photographed for editorial spreads in Interview Magazine and Buffalo Zine. She has also appeared in ad campaigns for Heaven by Marc Jacobs, MADEME, iGirl, Mejuri, LUAR, and I.AM.GIA.
In 2023, CLIP was named by The Face as one of the “10 Music Acts To Watch in 2023”, was included in the Dazed100 list, had an original track featured in YEAR0001’s RIFT Two compilation, and joined Rico Nasty on her 2023 tour dates. She has headlined Boiler Room and HEAV3N events and has performed alongside Coco & Clair Clair, Lancey Foux, Coucou Chloe, Father, and Hook. CLIP made her major music festival debut at Rolling Loud NY 2022 and performed at Rolling Loud LA 2023.
