De Amerikaanse zanger/gitarist Randy Hansen wordt gezien als de beste Jimi Hendrix-tribute act ter wereld. Al doet ‘imitator’ hem geen recht: hij is de levende Hendrix-experience. In Amerika is hij uitgegroeid tot een waar cultfiguur en ook in Europa speelt hij menig festival en zaal plat. Deze rockster uit Seattle staat al ruim 30 jaar op het podium en speelde samen met groten als Stevie Ray Vaughan, Steve Miller, Paul Rodgers, Herbie Hancock, en originele Jimi Hendrix Experience bandleden Noel Redding en Mitch Mitchell. In 1969 gaf Hendrix zijn legendarische optreden op het Woodstock-festival, echter op 18 september 1970 stierf Jimi Hendrix al op 27-jarige leeftijd. Om de geest van Jimi Hendrix te laten voortleven zal Randy Hansen zijn publiek versteld doen staan met zijn performance ter ere van de Meester zelf. 50 jaar na datum is Jimi Hendrix nog altijd een veel besproken en gehoorde artiest. Randy Hansen Biography
American guitarist, songwriter, artist, and occasional actor who is best known for his work contributing to the sound track of Apocalypse Now, the 1980 Academy Award Winner for Best Sound. He is also the founder of the "World's First Rock Tribute Act" honoring Jimi Hendrix.
