About this concert
$1 from every ticket sold will benefit both Hickman Holler Appalachian Relief Fund (HHARF) and REVERB. Established in 2020 by Senora May and Tyler Childers, HHARF brings awareness and financial support for philanthropic efforts in the Appalachian Region. REVERB's efforts reduce environmental impact in live music, engage fans, and fund carbon impact programs to address the impacts of the tour that cannot be eliminated. I saw Tyler back in 2019 as a support act for John Prine. He stood on stage with a guitar, at the Palais in St Kilda,
and broke my heart with his Kentucky twang. If Hillbilly is your thang and you want clever lyrics wrapped in foot stompin' music here is your jam. Now backed by a 7 piece band and clever staging there wasn't a disappointed punter in the sold-out Sidney Myer Music Bowl. Highlight was still a small acoustic set in the middle with TC on stage alone with his sixstring hammer and chisel attacking my heart again.
