About this show
ROSS NOBLE – CRANIUM OF CURIOSITIESRoll up, roll up! Or use a more conventional form of transport to get to the show. It’s entirely your choice. Unless you accidentally become trapped in a barrel*.Should that happen, then just find an incline and start rolling to see the one and only Ross Noble! He is the Wizard of Waffle, The Rambler Royale, The Noodlers’ Noodler, and he’s back live on stage to tour a tornado of tangents. What the show will be about is anybody’s guess, but that’s all part of the fun when you look inside his Cranium of Curiosities. *We strongly advise trying not to get trapped in a barrel before or during the performance. Despite the expression “barrel of laughs,” it may impede your enjoyment of the show and potentially anger a cooper**. **barrel maker. We are fairly certain the mascara mishap music maker Alice Cooper would be fine with it. “Thrilling to watch… weepingly funny” Daily Mail"No one does off-the-wall noodling better" - Evening Standard (4 Stars) www.alist.com.auwww.rossnoble.comWe look forward to welcoming you to the Theatre Royal.Bar open from 4pmKitchen opens from 5pm - menu (we offer a delicious, fast-paced pizza menu with plenty of indoor/outdoor seating available)All shows have a small amount of unallocated balcony seating, but are set up as standing room and general admission, unless specifically promoted as a “fully seated show”.Make sure to visit our Beer Garden (open in the warmer months). Please note that trains to Melbourne / Kyneton / Bendigo etc usually run post event. Ross Noble Biography
Ross Noble (born 5 June 1976) is a British stand-up comedian, born in Cramlington, Northumberland, England.
Noble has been performing stand-up since appearing in his local comedy club at the age of 15, despite licensing laws that prohibited him working there and forced him to leave through the kitchen.Noble has become known as an exciting and original performer and has received huge critical acclaim. His distinctive stand-up routine often turns into an improvised and surreal performance based on informal conversation with the audience and a stream of consciousness delivery. He has appeared on many TV shows in Australia such as Network Ten's Rove (Live), The Panel, and the ABC's The Glasshouse and Spicks and Specks; and in the UK on BBC's Johnny Vaughan Tonight and Friday Night with Jonathan Ross. Noble has also made six appearances on BBC 1's Have I Got News for You and makes regular contributions to BBC Radio 4's Just a Minute. He has hosted Radio 4's stand up show 4 At The Store. Noble married an Australian called Fran (short for Francine), and now lives in Melbourne. In January 2006, Ross once again teamed up with Terri Psiakis on Triple J for two weeks of Ross and Terri in the lunch time slot of 12pm - 3pm. During a broadcast, Ross began a myth claiming that George Foreman has missing fingerprints. The myth has since become widespread. This second period on Triple J also saw Ross and Terri founding "Pants Across Australia", during which, 4 pairs of trousers were sent to the north, south, east and west extremities of Australia and then back to Melbourne. In April 2006, Ross was involved in a motorbike accident, and both fractured and dislocated his collarbone. Conveniently he crashed right outside a hospital. Ross performed his shows over the following weeks with his arm in a sling.
