DEAFDEAFDEAF Biography
DEAFDEAFDEAF is an electrifying force in contemporary music, blending shoegaze, post-punk, alt-rock, and a pop sensibility to create a sound that has resonated with a growing and dedicated fanbase. Formed in 2020 in Leigh, Greater Manchester, the band draws inspiration from iconic acts such as The Smiths, Joy Division, and My Bloody Valentine. Their music is characterized by a powerful wall of sound and haunting vocals, weaving intricate narratives of love, loss, and emotional turmoil.
DEAFDEAFDEAF has received widespread critical acclaim, earning a spot on numerous official Spotify playlists and airplay on BBC Radio 6, BBC Radio 1, and RTÉ 2, with their track ‘City Song’ being featured as Steve Lamacq's spotlight artist of the week.
The band has built a formidable live reputation, playing sold-out shows across Europe and the UK, including Paris, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, London, Manchester, and Maastricht. After a brief hiatus, DEAFDEAFDEAF made a triumphant return with the singles ‘Sweet Thing’ and ‘Sick Dog’, both of which set the tone for their highly anticipated debut EP, Impulse, Routine. Released on June 28, 2024, the EP showcases a range of musical influences and cinematic inspirations, further solidifying DEAFDEAFDEAF's unique place in the modern music landscape. The band is set to embark on their biggest tour to date in 2025 across the UK and Europe, laying the foundation for what is set to be their biggest year yet.
